Task 1:
1. What is the major issue shown in the video?
Answer:
The major issue shown in the video is about discrimination to other race, ethnicity, and also bullying. This can be seen at the beginning of the video we are shown two men walking in the dark at night. The two men, one is white and the other one is Pakistani, South Asian. Surprisingly, the Pakistani invites a fight with the white man. The white man tried to defend himself, but he fell down. The scene of stepping on white people is the closing scene, then the main title is "Divided Kingdom." Then, the following scenes tell the speech and behavior of British people who hate South Asians.
Based on the dialogue in the video, expressions of hatred from British people towards Pakistanis include:
1) "...Charged us three quid before we even sat down. Stupid Paki..."
2) "You know, you can't walk down a street without seeing a fucking Paki shop or a... mosque."
3) "Doesn't it piss you off when you see a fit girl with a Paki?"
4) "Get the fuck out of my country."
5) "Shut up, an' why are you with this Paki?"
Meanwhile, the British hate towards Pakistanis, which is shown a scene of pushing each other and a British person pulling a knife to injure Aryan at the end of the video.
2. How is the major charactered portrait in the video?
Answer:
The major charactered portrait in the video is he was a good and calm boy, and didn't like to get problem with another, but he get discrimination and he is disliked by some people around him because they think white people are racist, but a person could be racist without judging their color .And also he's a little closed off with other people, maybe he's just being defensive.

The major character judged by different groups of the community on basis his race, nationality, and religion.
4. How was the major character feel when he is treated in such a way?
Answer:
Based in the video, we can see his expression, his body language, that the main character felt unsafe and pressured when they were treating him. He must be feeling sad, hurted, isolated, discriminated, and be excommunicated.
5. What is your perception about Western societies before watching the video?
Answer:
Western countries usually asociated as liberal and freedom societies, is a way of life in which each culture has its own peculiarities and in which people's lives are tranquil and peaceful in accordance with society's norm, and also their free life that is not too constrained by customs. Then, have a sympathetic attitude towards newcomers. free life that is not too constrained by customs. They're same to the other countries, each of countries have their own way of socialize, whether it's about judging the outsider or the way they interact to each others.
6. Has your perception changed after watching the video? Why?
Answer:
No, our perception has not changed. Because from the video, it's like my perception of westerners. Western people are freedom with everything. I think this freedom have a negative impact, they believe of freedom to discriminate someone. So freedom with everything could lead society to hurt everyone too.
